According to the Daily Mail, Wolves value the Portuguese winger at £60m ($77m) and the 23-year-old has the 'skill, pace and work ethic' Magpies boss Eddie Howe likes. The Reds and the Gunners, however, are keeping him on their radar, with the north east outfit looking to upgrade on right winger Miguel Almiron.

Wolves were reportedly close to a profit and sustainability rule breach but the big-money sales of Matheus Nunes to Manchester City, Ruben Neves to Al-Hilal, and Nathan Collins to Brentford eased those fears last summer. However, they may still need to sell key players in the future to not fall afoul of the rules, therefore, a Neto departure is not out of the question.

Wolves were one of the favourites to get relegated this season but under manager Gary O'Neil's stewardship, they sit 10th in the Premier League and are into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, too. And Neto, who has had various serious injuries over the years, has been an important part of that with two goals and nine assists this season.
WHAT NEXT?
The transfer links with Neto will continue to fester in the run-up to the opening of the summer transfer window in June but before then, Wolves host Fulham in a mid-table clash in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
