The post-match comments have reportedly angered Real Madrid, who have set a deadline of mid-January for Mbappe to take a final call on if he wants to move to the Spanish capital in the summer.

Journalist Josep Pedrerol, while speaking on (via ), said: "Real Madrid are not amused by Mbappe’s words. They do not want to get into a season-long drama, and it appears Mbappe does."
